Recollecting about last year's run on sleds to prepare for this race have begun in advance. In the summer and in the autumn have combed the majority of neighboring roads and glades. Means too have started to find in advance (the truth, it has a little helped). But on autumn to us have presented a snowmobile "Buran" which with the advent of a snow we began to run in accurately. As soon as have finished with this problem, there was a problem of timber carrying vessels. They managed to appear in the most unexpected places, transforming an excellent line not clearly in what. But the biggest fun has begun 3 days prior to start: has tumbled down a snow. Such snowfall at us in the field of was not neither this winter, nor in last! Into lines completely blew for 10 minutes.
Even traces does not remain! Hastily passed about 25 km of the open sites. And here at last day of start! The snow, naturally, went all the night long. All the night long there went snowmobiles on the first ring. And in the morning "Buran" which has gone before the first sled, because of a snow could not even get observers on the places. Having thrown observers in the middle of a field, "Buran" has left to punch anew road, and at the same time to escape from dogs.
Hard in the first day it was necessary to everything, but more everything, probably heavy Mihail Homenuk. It managed to fail together with narts, and sitting in the middle of a field, to observers expecting the help has told, that about it thought. Gallant Michael Bragin, has told, that all is excellent, but has recommended to help going after Diana Bejker. Leaders of the first day Sasha Anikin, Misha Bragin and Vyacheslav Demchenko have kept the positions up to the end of race. For the second day of the judge at last have found the bright vests lost on the eve and them have dressed. Work on start has gone more cheerfully. The snow, by the way, has almost stopped, but has become warmer. It has appeared also, that the Sachet to Anikin have forbidden to use its self-made narts . That loudly was indignant, but then nevertheless sat down on narts, taken for a while at not started Bakunevoj Maria. The line of the second day was most long (53 km), but all ran practically on a wood and was enough dense. Therefore speed sleds has grown. This day there has very well passed Michael Koldaev (Kareliya, " the Big Adventure "). Its time was worse than time of the leader (Sashi Anikin) of all for 50 seconds!
For the third day the snow has absolutely stopped and even, for what that time has looked out the sun. Work on start was absolutely adjusted. Met sleds on finish in the third day especially cheerfully. Were especially pleased Diana Bejker's to finish. It has come last and all gathered slightly frozen. As in grocery tent have ended frying sausages, and to have dinner already for a long time it was time. Has passed solemn closing competitions in the evening. It has turned out laconic enough and pleasant. Have awarded winners. Them A.Anikin, M.Bragin and V.Demchenko's of steel. Misha Bragin, except for it has still received a prize in a nomination " the brightest participant ", Misha Kaldaev - " the loudest participant ", Misha Sipko - " the Most persistent private trader ". So approximately also have passed our competitions. In our opinion, it has turned out, as a whole, not badly, but it is visible and to what it is necessary to aspire. I think, that we can make following competitions much better.

Diana Bejker, the secretary of Federation of rideable sports of Australia, numerous champion Australia: " To me has had the luck to be invited of Australia on competitions Race on dog sleds " Northern hope-2008 ". The surprising landscape and a line at the same time were complex enough. I liked race as I had an opportunity to test and develop the skills on a snow and with unfamiliar sled. During competitions it was possible to adjust close communication and trust with this sled from 6 dogs, and in spite of the fact that I do not speak Russian, dogs perfectly me understood. Together we have learned to trust each other and to work in a command for the decision of difficult problems. I thank dogs that worked on the end and children that have entrusted me the dogs. I also thank Northern hope for the invitation and an opportunity to try in conditions, impossible in Australia.Though Australia too is rich with the sights. Also I advise you whenever possible to visit this country (preliminary having issued the Australian visa and then you will not have problems crossing of the Australian customs).
I recommend this action to all Russian racers, it has been perfectly organized: a fine line for race and a magnificent landscape. I hope to return to Russia, again to take part in this action ".
